There are also some Park and Ride locations in the city where your vehicle can be parked and a shuttle bus will take you to Commonwealth Stadium.
Showing the season ticket holder card at the Stadium will provide a 10% discount on merchandise items purchased at The Eskimos Store or Game On Sports. The discount does not apply to food or beverages.

Donation Received from the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc for a Joint Fundraising Effort in 2014
At a meeting of the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc on July 2, 2015 our Club was presented with a generous donation cheque for our Club's assistance (along with other groups) in selling 50/50 tickets at Castrol Raceway during the 2014 season at the Motor racing facility. That money is then used to support our donations, Programs & Activities.
We THANK the Rotary Club and Castrol Raceway with appreciation for being involved in their annual, efficiently conducted fundraising program which benefits area Youth and Communities.

At a special; advanced date meeting on Thursday June 04, 2015 (with AGLC approval) the winning ticket was randomly selected from a drum for the Raffle Prize Package of two Edmonton Eskimos Gold Season Tickets PLUS $350.00 in Eskimos Gift Cards and Concessions Cards - to spend at the home games in Commonwealth Stadium. The first home game is Thursday July 9th.
The independent Ticket Picker was Lisa, the Manager of Smitty's Restaurant, who is not a Club member and had no tickets in the Draw. She is shown below with the randomly selected stub.

During 2014, the Black Gold Optimist Club of Leduc assisted the Dinner Optimist Club of Edmonton with parking lot duties at a number of football and soccer games at Commonwealth Stadium and Clarke Stadium as a fundraiser for both groups.
A cheque for $2200.00 was recently presented, in January 2015, to the Leduc Club from the Edmonton Dinner Club and we extend Appreciation for the donation which helps to fund our various Programs & Activities.

Items generously donated by Leduc Optimist Club members, family, friends and others were put on sale at the Millet Community Garage Sale on Saturday June 21st at the Millet home of Donna and Bob Scott. An appreciated total of $761.45 was raised for our General Account to help fund our various programs and activities related to youth and community needs.
Many THANKS to all the donors and to the Club members for assistance with the displaying and selling. It was a group effort that made it successful.
There will also be a deposit of $6.50 made to our General Account - the result of cashing in the one bag of recyclables gathered on the June 7th Optimist Clubs cleanup of a portion of Highway 2, south of Leduc.
Note: We don't thank those who discarded the items into the environment - just Optimist members who picked them up to tidy the area.

Thanks were expressed to the team for assisting our Optimist Club in selling some fundraising raffle tickets.
It was also pointed out that not only did they help their team, but some of the additional net funds realized from their ticket sales formed part of a $500.00 donation made the day before to help build a new playground at a Black Gold Regional elementary school.
Congratulations to the players and Coach Olischefski for the sales success and community spirit.
Thanks were expressed to the team for assisting our Optimist Club in selling some fundraising raffle tickets.

The Fundraiser Raffle Tickets are Sold Out - The Draw Date has been advanced to June 5, 2014 from June 12th
All raffle tickets (Licence 370184) are sold out on the one Prize Package of two Eskimos 2014 Gold Season Tickets plus $350.00 in Gift & Concessions Cards (to spend at the games) with a Total Prize Package Value of $1278.00. The Draw Date is being advanced to Thursday June 5, 2014 from June 12, 2014 as stated on the tickets.
The tickets are printed in December, before the league schedule comes out in February, and the first Eskimos home game this year is slated for Friday June 13, 2014.
This advancement gives our Club a needed week to get the Prize Package to the winner. The draw date on future raffles will be scheduled for the first week of June so this won't happen again.

Funds Received from the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc for our help with the 2013 Rotary 50/50 at Castrol Raceway
During the last week of April, a generous donation cheque was received by mail from the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc related to our Optimist Club's helping to sell 50/50 tickets at Castrol Raceway during the 2013 season. A Letter of Appreciation was emailed to the Rotary Club President.
We are always pleased to partner with that fine group in the efficiently run fundraiser for all parties involved. The money is appreciated to enable us to donate and run our programs and activities. Some of our Optimist efforts are complementary with those of Rotary and others are unique to each organization. Area youth and the community are the beneficiaries from both.

Donation Received From The ROTARY CLUB Of NISKU-LEDUC JAN. 10/13
The Black Gold Optimist Club of Leduc received a significant donation cheque from the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc on January 10, 2013 at the Rotary breakfast meeting. Leduc Optimists, as well as some other groups / organizations assisted the Rotary Club, during 2012, in selling 50/50 tickets at Castrol Raceway. The funds raised help the Rotary Club, our Club and the other groups to carry out our programs and activities for youth and the community at large; including improvements to the children's play area at Castrol Raceway.
APPRECIATION is extended to Rotary for asking us to be a part of this successful endeavour.

CASTROL RACEWAY 50/50 TICKET SALES FUNDRAISER
The Black Gold Optimist Club of Leduc assisted in the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc 50/50 Ticket Sales Program at Castrol Raceway along with other groups in 2011. The half of total ticket sales, which does not go to the ticket draw winners, is proportionately divided by the Rotary Club among the service clubs and other groups that help in selling 50/50 tickets at the facility, for their youth and community programs and activities; including improvements to the children's play area at Castrol Raceway.
In May 2012, a donation cheque for $1500.00 was presented to Leduc Optimists from the Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc for our efforts in fundraising. That money will be used for our programs and activities serving youth and the community at large.

The draw in our raffle fundraiser for two Edmonton Eskimos 2011 Gold Season Tickets plus $300.00 in Concession Cards, to use at the games, was held on June 9th, 2011 in Leduc. The ticket selected, from a lottery drum by an impartial non-member and witnessed by two other, impartial, non-members, was #0549.
It was successful with 875 tickets sold and entered into the draw out of 900 printed.
A big THANK YOU to all who bought or sold tickets.
We also extend our APPRECIATION to those community minded businesses who allowed us to sell raffle tickets at their locations which gave us visibility and contact with many football fans and other supportive people.....another big THANK YOU!
This further enables our club to assist and develop Youth and Community activities and programs.

50/50 DRAW PROGRAM at CASTROL RACEWAY
Over the course of the 2011 spring and summer, members of the Black Gold Optimist Club of Leduc participated in the selling of 50/50 draw tickets at Castrol Raceway events.
The Rotary Club of Nisku-Leduc efficiently runs the program with the assistance of a number of different volunteer organizations, including ours. At the end of the season, net proceeds are proportionately divided by Rotary among the service clubs and organizations for their varied youth and community activities and programs, including improvement of the children's playground area at the Castrol Raceway facility.
THANKS to Rotary and Castrol Raceway for allowing us to be a partner in this fundraising endeavour.
We ENCOURAGE people to attend and support the exciting and fun racing programs at Castrol Raceway featuring a quarter mile drag strip; dirt oval track; motocross layout and a road course. The Raceway provides the economic benefits of employment and visitor fans spending in the whole area as well as an important source of funds ( via the 50/50 draw ) for the volunteer community service clubs and organizations.
