We had our 4th quarter  zone meeting at the Leduc Legion on Saturday, September 16, 2017. We had Susy Kavanagh  come and present her dream with making a girls basketball team to the zone 5 Optimist club.  Our next meeting will be September 28, 2017 at 7:30 pm  unless you want to order food come around 6:30pm. Any one well come.

September 14 Meeting

Welcome back and we do hope that you had a great summer!!

The next regular meeting of the Black Gold Optimist Club of Leduc will be on Thursday September 14th starting at 7:30pm in Smitty's Restaurant Leduc located at #5004 - 50 Ave. Leduc.
 Those wanting to personally order food / dinner should arrive earlier to allow time to eat leisurely before the meeting commences. We encourage all members to attend and give your important voices to discussions, decisions and voting.
Guests and potential new members are always WELCOME to attend and learn more about our fundraising, Programs & Activities for the benefit of Youth and Community.

Furthermore we have a lot of fun and the more the merrier.

Fourth quarter zone board meeting will be held on Saturday September 16, 2017 at the Leduc Legion  in there meeting room in the back at 10 AM. The admission fee is $5.00 per person.

Raffle winner 2017

This year's fundraiser raffle was a success again. Thank you for all the community's support.
This year's winner is a Leduc Resident, she win 2 gold season tickets to the Edmonton Eskimos games and consession money.  The winner's name is Jody Greidanus.

2017 Eskimos Football Gold Season Tickets Draw June 1

Hello Black Gold!

This Thursday June 1 at 8:00 pm is the draw for the Eskimos Football Gold Season Tickets.  

This will happen at Smittys Family Restaurant in Leduc and those wishing to eat may want to arrive early.

Other than the draw no business will be conducted.

We will have two guests: 

Clare Tolchard (Vice Chair) & Mike McCrae (Trustee)

from the Hospital to help us with the draw and provide us an update on the CT Scanner project.

As a result of everyone working hard I believe we will have a ticket sellout.

For you that would like to visit our club meetings  we meet every 2nd and 4th Thursday at Leduc Smitty's in the back room at 7:30pm.

Saturday, April 8 at 1pm the optimist club  has there annual Spelling Bee this year at the Denim Inn Leduc and the Hotel is donating the whole sound system for this event.

Our Annual Spelling Bee will take place on April 8 at 1pm.  Members should arrive around noon. Event takes place at the Best Western Denham Inn downstairs banquet room.
